Event Staff Only is for completely self managed events. If you require assistance with planning, management, etc., then please check out our event management page, which cover these services.

Event Management Houston realizes that staff can be a tremendous asset for your upcoming event. Whether small or large, there are always things that demand attention when you are hosting an event, and our event staff provide the necessary assistance that you need. We require a 4 hour minimum for any event, which includes a minimum of one hour for setup and thirty minutes minimum of breakdown time.

Our Event Staff Only service provides various staff positions for any event. You choose what type of staffing services you need, as well as the quantity of staff for each position. Our team focuses on professional, quality service for any occasion. Any staff serving alcohol or handling food will have a TABC/ Food Handling certification.

Our staff has the necessary experience and training for their specific level of service. Dress code is always professional, all black, however we can possibly dress according to a specific theme for an additional fee, if requested. Staff will come with the necessary supplies required for their roles & responsibilities.

All events are insured up to 1 million in basic liability, and a certificate of insurance will be provided upon request. We currently provide our Event Staff Only service in the greater Houston area.

Staff we provide


Bartenders

Our team of bartenders are certified, experienced, reliable, and responsible. They will assist with bar set-up, service, and breakdown. All bartenders are experienced based on the level of service you choose. All bartenders are trained on service and product details that are specific to your event. We have different levels of bartenders depending on what you will be serving at your event. The hourly cost is based on what level bar service you choose and the amount of people they will be serving.

We staff 1 bartender for 1-50 guests and anywhere from 30-50 guests per barback is assigned to assist the bartender. For 50-100 guests we suggest 2 bartenders and 1-2 barbacks, depending on service level.

Barbacks

All EMH barbacks are certified and trained to assist the bartender throughout your event so that he or she can continue serving with speed. The barbacks will take out trash, keep filling ice buckets, cut additional garnishes, refill drink pitchers, open bottles, wash glasses, replenish coolers with beer and wine, assist with serving non alcoholic beverages, and will assist with set up and breakdown, as well as maintaining bar cleanliness throughout the event. The barback will also walk around as time permits to pick up empty glasses and pick up and take out trash. Barbacks are a huge asset to the bar service and we suggest if you have anywhere from 30-50 people a barback should be booked to assist the bartender so they can maintain focus on cocktail service with speed.

Servers

All EMH servers are experienced based on the level of service you are looking for. If you are offering food service whether it is pass around bites, table top appetizers, or buffet style service our servers are an excellent choice. Our staff is professional, dependable, and experienced. Servers can assist with set up, creating platters, replenishing trays or buffet line, warming food, and assisting in keeping things clean throughout the event as well as assisting with breakdown and clean up. Adding servers to your event will help with portion control in buffet setting, as well as food quality as they will warm and replenish as necessary. Our servers will also assist with packing up left over food, and assisting with cleaning when your event is coming to an end.

Cocktail Servers

Cocktail servers add a nice touch to any event. EMH cocktail servers work one on one with the bar staff to provide exceptional service to your guests. Cocktail servers can assist with welcome drinks as guest enter the door as well as walk around offering cocktails, and/ or shot service which is a fun addition. Cocktails servers always help to alleviates congestion at the bar area so that your guest can enjoy the fellowship and activities throughout your event. This is also a very beneficial service if your event consist of guests playing poker or other games, listening to guest speakers, or other activities where guest will not be getting up very often. Cocktail servers will also assist in picking up empty glassware and trash throughout the event.

Hostesses/Ushers(Greeters)/Bathroom Attendant

EMH Hostesses/Ushers/Greeters are an excellent addition to any event with large crowds where guest need to be given direction based on itinerary. They are also a great asset for VIP events where you want guest greeted and welcomed at the door upon arrival. Our staff can also assist with coat check service, and can be useful in giving out any brochures, or documents if the event is a seminar or training event; as well as bathroom attendance (refilling toiletries, giving hand towels, keeping bathrooms clean).
